PlaySight: AI trained to understand sports based on videos

Playsight AI

One of the industries that hold quite a confusing array of data and statistics is sports. From measuring performance to making decisions on the playing field, the market for data platforms is enormous.

Tel Aviv-based startup PlaySight is exploring the use of AI and machine learning to build what it called SmartCourts, a system of connected cameras that provide automated streaming, tagging, predictive analytics, audio annotation, and even drawing tools for positioning. These cameras are installed in almost every corner of fields, courts, gyms, and rinks to provide accurate data.

PlaySight founder and CEO Chen Shachar express their advocacy to democratize sports analytics with technology.
