To prepare for the digital effects following the world’s recovery from COVID-19, Rolls-Royce is publishing free digital skills training programs for people and business across the globe.
Among its first roster of courses are introductions to data science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and programming. The academy caters to people across varying knowledge levels, offering both fully certified programs to short 20-minute training sessions.
In the last two years, the Rolls Royce Digital Academy has trained thousands of users. “Many people and businesses are experiencing incredibly tough circumstances and these free training packages are a tangible way for us to offer some help. Many have been tried and tested by Rolls-Royce employees. They can help people prepare for work and businesses transform ready for a digital future, just like we’ve been doing at Rolls-Royce for the last couple of years,” says Head of the Digital Academy at Rolls-Royce, Manisha Mistry.
Big online education companies like DataCamp, edX, Google for Education, IBM, and Learning Tree have all pledged support for Rolls-Royce, each offering a specific course. Lessons vary from Data Science and AI used by Rolls-Royce employees to Machine Learning for Kids.
“Whether you’re 8, 18 or 80 years-old, these training packages will help you during this disruptive period of isolation: whether you need to keep your kids occupied, need new skills for a future job or just want to learn more digital skills in anticipation of the future,” Mistry explains.
